The 2025 Western Australian Premier’s Book Awards are open for entries until 20 February at 5pm (WST). The awards are for books published or self-published between 1 January 2024 and 31 December 2024. To enter, you will need to create a free Submittable account.

- Children’s Book of the Year
- Young Adult Book of the Year (new)
- Poetry Book of the Year (new)
- Fiction Book of the Year (new)
- Non-Fiction Book of the Year (new)
- Book of the Year, sponsored by Writing WA
- Daisy Utemorrah Award for Unpublished Indigenous Junior and YA Fiction
Book of the Year, sponsored by Writing WA, will be chosen from the winning category titles.
The Daisy Utemorrah Award for Unpublished Indigenous Junior and YA Fiction is administered and funded by Magabala Books with support from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and the Copyright Agency.
