Entries for the 2026 Western Australian Premier’s Book Awards are now open. The awards are for books published or self-published between 1 January 2025 and 31 December 2025. To enter, you will need to create a free Submittable account.

Entries close on 6 March  2026  at 5pm (WST).

Book of the Year will be chosen from the category winners.

The Daisy Utemorrah Award for Unpublished Indigenous Junior and YA Fiction is administered and funded by Magabala Books with support from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and the Copyright Agency. Entries for the Daisy Utemorrah Award are open Australia wide and close on 30 April 2026. Information on how to enter the award is available on the Magabala Books website.
