Have the story behind your most treasured heirloom, memento or object professionally recorded in The Chin Wagon, which will be stationed outside of the State Library for Keepsake: Launch and Panel Conversation.

As part of the State Library’s new exhibition Keepsake: Cherished Family Mementos from the Collection, a selection of these stories will then be shared online and incorporated into the exhibition.

The Chin Wagon is a mobile recording studio designed to capture WA’s stories. Run by much-loved storytelling collective Barefaced Stories, The Chin Wagon provides a fun, cosy hearth for people to share their most treasured memories, tall tales or embarrassing spills.

To book one of our limited recording sessions, tell us more about your treasured heirloom, trinket or keepsake in the form below.

If your keepsake is chosen, we will contact you via email to arrange your time slot for Friday 19 July. On the day, bring along your keepsake to a 20-minute audio recording session. While your story may be included into the exhibition, you will be able to take your item home afterwards.
