Break out your Book Week costume and join the Children’s Book Council of Australia’s WA Branch and the State Library of Western Australia for a fun filled day!

  • LEGO® Masters winners Jackson Harvey and Alex Towler, along with author Cristy Burne, will launch their new book.
  • Author events, illustrator battles and book signings
  • Free gift bags for the first 150 families.
  • Embark on a scavenger hunt
  • Take part in a costume parade.
  • Explore Ten Tiny Things with Sensorium Theatre.
  • Grab your favourite books from the Paper Bird pop-up bookshop.
  • Original children's book art work exhibition.
  • Plus, enjoy story time, face painting, a birthday cake cutting — and so much more.

In 2025, the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) celebrates 80 years of Australian stories for children and 80 years of Children’s Book Week.

We invite you to be part of this special adventure as we honour the magic of Australian stories and the joy they bring to readers of all ages.
