Join the Children’s Book Council of Australia’s WA Branch and the State Library of Western Australia for a lively, fun-filled celebration of the stories and illustrations that have inspired generations.
Get ready for a jam-packed day of fun and celebration with author and illustrator events, face painting, live storytelling, book signings and a thrilling treasure hunt! Come dressed in your favourite Children’s Book Week costume and take part in the costume parade for a chance to win a parcel of books from Fremantle Press.
Presenters include: Sally Barton, Isobel Bevis, Kitty Black, Cristy Burne, Joanne Colely, Tracey Dembo, Cherie Dignam, Jackson Harvey, Renae Hayward, Samantha Hughes, Bren MacDibble, Gavin Aung Than, Alex Towler, Renée Treml and more.
In 2025, the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) celebrates 80 years of Australian stories for children and 80 years of Children’s Book Week.
We invite you to be part of this special adventure as we honour the magic of Australian stories and the joy they bring to readers of all ages.
