Margaret Feilman Town Planner

Dr Kate discusses the legacy of Margaret Feilman’s work as a town planner, architect and heritage conservationist.

The State Library holds a large collection of Margaret Feilman’s work including town plans, architectural drawings and correspondence.

Feilman’s role in establishing the National Trust in WA in 1959, as well as her role in designing and locating Kwinana and Medina are remembered. Feilman’s ability to connect people with place characterises her work over many decades.
