This event is for
Join award-winning author and illustrator Kelly Canby for a fast, fun and fabulously un-serious illustration workshop. Kids will paint along and see how stories really come to life… mess and all.
In this workshop Kelly will share how she creates the characters for her books using bold, inky blobs and quick decisions, often embracing “mistakes” that end up making the art better.
This session is about letting creativity unfold naturally, without overthinking. Perfect for budding artists who love to draw, doodle, splash and scribble.
No perfection needed – just imagination, curiosity, and a willingness to get a little messy.
This workshop is suitable for children 8-12 years old.
