WA Reflections

Screenwest and the State Library are offering up to $25,000 production funding for early to mid-career filmmaking teams to produce a short documentary based on historical collection items.

Five mini documentaries creatively use the State Library's heritage collection items – including letters, diaries, journals, photographs and oral recordings – to bring to life and share uniquely Western Australian stories from our State's history.

Listen to the incredible case of the murder of Cyril Gidley by his spurned lover Audrey Jacob at the Government House Ballroom in 1925, brought to life in a new short film.
