We're bringing the Sydney Writers' Festival to Western Australian readers, writers and thinkers by livestreaming the Festival's headline events at the State Library.

Prepare to be invigorated and engaged by conversations, debates and discussions featuring some of the world’s finest writers and thinkers. Audiences can also participate in live Q&A sessions at each event, sending questions straight to the Sydney stage.

2025's program is packed full of world-class writers and thinkers including Markus Zusak (The Book Thief, Three Wild Dogs and the Truth), Helen Garner (The Season), Jeff Kinney (Diary of a Wimpy Kid), Jaclyn, Liane and Nicola Moriarty and many more.

If attending any 8am sessions, entry will only be available via our Francis Street entrance.
