If you’re looking for a calm spot to unwind, wander into the State Library and settle in for a little hands-on fun. Kids can put together their own animal puppet, using simple craft materials like paper bags, paper plates and colourful cut-outs to bring a character to life.

There’s also space to simply slow down, colour a page or two, enjoy a story or explore the Story Place at the State Library. A peaceful, take your time activity for young creatives and curious readers alike.

Suitable for children 3-7 years of age. All children must be supervised by an adult.
