Accessibility at State Library Events

ACROD Parking  

There is one ACROD parking bay on Francis Street, adjacent to the ramp between the State Library and the WA Museum.

The bay gives ACROD permit holders two hours of free parking between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday. Further information about the ACROD parking bay is available.

Accessible Drop-off Bays

There are two 15-minute pick-up bays available on Francis Street - outside Central TAFE and opposite the State Library. Further information about the pick-up parking bay is available.  

Hearing Assistance

The theatre is equipped with a hearing loop. For events not in the theatre, the Library can supply Auslan interpreters upon request, pending availability. Please let us know if you would need access to our events through an interpreter by emailing us at info@slwa.wa.gov.au or calling us on (08) 9427 3111.

Wheelchair Access

SLWA is committed to providing accessibility for all our visitors. Our venue is wheelchair accessible, with ramps and elevators available for your convenience. Please alert our staff if you would like assistance in being seated.  

Seating

If you require specific seating arrangements due to mobility issues or other accessibility concerns, please inform our staff upon arrival, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Accessible restrooms are located throughout the venue for your convenience.  

Assistance Animals

Service animals are welcome at SLWA. If you plan to bring a service animal, please ensure it is appropriately identified.
