Call out for materials by or about people with disability

Recently the Library celebrated the International Day of People with Disability (December 3) .

In Australia, there are 4.4 million Australians with a disability.

While the Library has some materials that reflect the stories of Western Australians with disability, we recognise that these stories are not well represented in our collection. This is something we want to change.

If you have photographs, letters, diaries and other items that help tell the stories of West Australians with disabilities, the State Library would love to hear from you!

Please email collections@slwa.wa.gov.au to tell us about what you have.
