The State Library offers tertiary students the opportunity to learn more about how to access and engage with the State Library's extensive collections of primary and secondary source material and a range of relevant services. Guided workshops and tours can be tailored to specific courses of study drawing on the rich collections of the J.S. Battye Library of West Australian History and introducing students to collections and services of the State Library.
Tertiary students across disciplines of history, archaeology, architecture, creative arts, and many more, can discover the depth and diversity of collections available for access focusing on many aspects of West Australian history. Undergraduate teachers, students taking part in the Adult Migrant Education Program, as well as library and information students can also benefit from a tour of the State Library.
Facilitated Workshops and Tours for Tertiary Students
Guided sessions include a workshop and a tour. Sessions can be booked to align with individual timetables.
Dates: Weekdays during the academic calendar and within the State Library's opening hours
Duration: 90 minutes
Bookings: Essential and should be made at least two weeks in advance.
Cost: $150 per group (minimum of 10 and up to 15 students)
(Excluding TAFE groups — no charge.)
