Join us for an interactive workshop where caregivers learn to choose great books and spark a lifelong love of reading in children aged 0–5. This is a family‑friendly event.
Discover how the simple act of sharing a story can spark imagination, connection and an enthusiasm for reading. This warm and interactive 1‑hour workshop helps parents and caregivers feel confident choosing books that truly engage young children.
You’ll explore why daily reading matters and what turns a good book into a great one. We’ll share practical tips on what to look for when selecting books so you can feel empowered as your child’s first and most important teacher.
This friendly, hands‑on session is designed to support parents and caregivers while delighting little learners.
The first section is for grown‑ups only, with children supervised in the same area of The Story Place by the State Library's Better Beginnings team. We’ll then reunite with the children to put our learning into practice through shared reading fun.
