Supporting public libraries with technology and innovation grants

The WA Public Libraries Strategy included the development of a system for the allocation of annual State Government funding which enable local governments to make decisions about allocating some of the funding to technological infrastructure, programming, and other priorities in addition to library materials purchasing.

Local Governments can apply for funding to be used to support library initiatives and public programs. Funding is also available to support professional development for library staff in regional and remote WA.
Applications for the 2022-23 public library grants have now closed. Applicants will be advised of the outcome of their submissions in July.

ServiceWA app assistance grants for libraries

In order to support as many members of the community as possible to access and use ServiceWA the State Library of Western Australia (SLWA), on behalf of the State Government, is making funding available to all local governments for public libraries to provide direct support to West Australians with installation and use of the app.
Applications for ServiceWA app assistance grants have now closed.
