From the author of the groundbreaking bestseller Dark Emu comes The European Mind, Bruce Pascoe’s bold new exploration of how we arrived here – and where we might hope to go.

Bringing together history, memoir and philosophy, The European Mind is a global examination of Western power informed by a First Nations perspective, exploring Christianity, capitalism and colonialism and how colonial history continues to shape the present.

Bruce Pascoe is an Aboriginal farmer and writer of literary fiction, non-fiction, poetry, essays and children’s literature, based on Yuin Country. His work has received numerous awards, including the NSW Premier’s Award for Literature, the Booksellers Association Prize and the CBCA Eve Pownall Award.

Hosted by Jo Trilling, ABC Radio Perth presenter

Doors will open at 6pm

Q&A and book signing will occur after the author talk.

Presented in partnership with Arts Margaret River, State Library of Western Australia, Planet Books, Magabala Books, Cullen Wines, and Waves & Caves.
