School Archives

While not many schools maintain a formal archive, some will have retained their records. Private Schools are more likely to have a formal archives than state schools, e.g. Guildford Grammar School. The State Records Office holds many Education Department records relating to schools, some providing the names of students. If student records for a particular school cannot be located at the State Records Office it would be advisable to check with the school to see if they have retained any records.
