The National Archives of Australia has responsibility for the custody and control of Commonwealth Government records. The Western Australian Branch holds records relating to Commonwealth administration in Western Australia, including defence, taxation, immigration, customs and education. The Archives also collects personal papers of individuals associated with the Commonwealth, such as federal politicians and senior public servants.
