The State Library collection of eBooks is constantly growing. The subjects covered include computer science, information technology, photography and much more. For the younger reader there is a delightful collection of illustrated interactive children's books, word games and puzzles. As part of state-wide consortium, the Western Australia Public Libraries Digital Media Collection (WAPLDMC), State Library members also have access to a core collection of selected eBooks available to Public Library members.

State Library members who are residents of WA can borrow eBooks from the Ebook Library (EBL). The collection has over 200,000 titles, which are primarily non-fiction and covering a wide range of subjects. Titles can be accessed via the State Library’s online catalogue. BorrowBox is an award winning Australian App that enables State Library members to browse and borrow bestselling eAudiobooks on their Apple or Android device for limited periods through digital loans. BorrowBox is a free download solution. Once you are signed in you can borrow or reserve up to 6 eAudiobooks for a 2 week loan period.

The CSIRO Published Collection consists of over 150 titles mostly electronically published since 2003 and covers a wide range of scientific disciplines including agriculture, the plant and animal sciences and environmental management.
