Join poet, educator, and community organiser, Anisa Nandaula for this online workshop on personal storytelling through spoken word poetry and story. Anisa will teach participants how to explore their own stories and find power in their personal narrative.

The workshop will traverse literary techniques and performance techniques that teach you how to not only speak but be heard. Participants will leave feeling more confident, powerful and able to share who they are with the world. 

Anisa is a nationally recognised spoken word poet, play writer, educator and published author. She is the 2016 Queensland Poetry slam champion and runner up for the Australian poetry slam championships. In 2020, she was the Sunshine Coast laughable comedy champion 2020 and won the crowd favourite prize at the good chat comedy club finals. Anisa is also the co-founder of the arts collective Voices of Colour which creates spaces for migrant, refugee and First Nations artists to share their work. 

This workshop is for people aged 15 to 25.  

Places are limited. Please note this workshop is being delivered online using Zoom. Attendees will receive a link to the Zoom call prior to the event. Please ensure Zoom is installed on the device you are using prior to the event and have your preferred writing materials available.
