Join renowned Artist/Author Leigh Hobbs for a fun, interactive drawing experience for the whole family!
Draw Old Tom, Horrible Harriet and Mr Chicken, and be inspired to create your own unforgettable characters.
Enjoy a meet and greet with Leigh as he personally signs your book after the workshop. Copies of Leigh’s books will be available for purchase on the day.
Leigh Hobbs was the Australian Children’s Laureate, 2016-17. He is best known for his children's books featuring his characters Old Tom, Horrible Harriet and Mr Chicken. Old Tom has been adapted into an extremely popular TV series and Mr Chicken goes to Paris was shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards. Leigh has won every major children’s choice award in Australia.
Leigh has recently donated a significant collection of his artwork to the State Library of Western Australia, and these will be on display in an exhibition in The Story Place Gallery.
