Update:

We regret to advise that unfortunately our star attraction, author and illustrator Anna Walker, who is based in Victoria, is unwell and unable to appear via Zoom at the session. We invite you to still come along at your session time to participate in facilitated activities relating to Anna Walker's book Florette and the current Florette a Garden of Green exhibition at the State Library. In Anna's absence State Library Education and Engagement staff will run a story reading and a series of Anna Walker’s art and craft activities on Tuesday 11 January at 10:30am–11:30am and on Wednesday 12 January at 10:30am–11:30am.

Anna Walker, author and illustrator of Florette, will be broadcast live into the State Library of WA from her studio in Melbourne. Anna will share how she creates stories and illustrates for picture books.

Be led by Anna Walker in drawing activities and see live art demonstrations and storybook reading. All materials are provided.

Parents/caregivers must accompany children. Choose from either 11 or 12 January 2022.

This workshop is held in conjunction with the exhibition and installation, Florette – A Garden of Green, based on the book Florette by Anna Walker. The exhibition is on at the State Library of Western Australia until Sunday, 16 January 2022.
