Robert Wood

Robert Wood has served as the Creative Director of the Centre for Stories since 2018. He is interested in nature, suburbs, philosophy, tjabi and food.

The author of five books, Robert has been an Endeavour Fellow at Columbia University in New York and is the former Chair of Pen International (Perth). He has given talks at universities in USA, China and India, and volunteered for human rights, environmental and pacifist organisations.

In 2021, he was Westpac Social Change Fellow and a 40 Under 40 Asian Australian of the Year as awarded by Asialink.

Robert holds a doctorate from the University of Western Australia, a masters from the University of Pennsylvania, and an honours degree from Australian National University. He likes to swim in saltwater and play tennis, and has connections to Malayali country in South India.
