Celebrating and showcasing the finest in local music and reimagining the spaces of the Library with works of WA's finest emerging composers and performers. Catch jazz, pop, electronica and other new music forms free for lunch.

Originally from the small town of Lancelin, Lana is an electronic musician currently based in Perth who specialises in ambient chamber noise. Lana’s vocal jazz training allows her to freely improvise over loose song structures and provides an exciting opportunity to take risks within her music. Utilising live electronics and vocals when performing live, Lana chases myriad musical tangents, resulting in each live set achieving a distinctive mood and form of its own.

With recent forays into both dance music and minimalism Lana has forged a new sense of space in her music, resulting in implied beats sculpted out of minimal chordal stabs, with Lana’s idiosyncratic vocal style layering everything from reinterpreted soul classics or original melodies over the top. These sounds and her lyrics are a tribute to female strength, seeking to demonstrate beauty in tragedy and storytelling without words or labels.
