Alice Mapstone Choral Scholarships
Four scholarships are awarded annually and are available via audition to all interested singers. These scholarships are awarded by the Church of the Ressurection in Swanbourne.

Australian Singing Competition
Australia’s premiere competition for the classical singer. Held annually, the ASC includes the Opera Awards and the Mathy Awards. The prizes are generous and the list of past winners is dotted with the names of singers now making their name on the international stage.

City of Joondalup Eisteddfod
Vocal solo categories in music theatre, popular, folk, and classical, and instrumental categories open to all ages and levels of experience.

Department for Culture and the Arts Scholarships and Fellowships
The Young People and the Arts International Scholarship provides emerging artists and arts workers whodisplay significant potential with the opportunity to enhance their creative, skills or professional development through a targeted course of study.

The Young People and the Arts Fellowship provides emerging artists and arts workers who display significant potential with the opportunity to advance their creative and/or professional development goals through an intensive period of development in their chosen field or art form area.

Dorothy Watts Chopin Competition
Open to pianists and held by the Royal Schools Music Club.

Fremantle Eisteddfod
Held annually in the Fremantle Town Hall for amateur musicians with a range of awards and trophies. Prizes are awarded in vocal solo, art song, lieder, folk song, sacred and oratorio, duet, ensemble, music theatre, barbershop, choral singing and instrumental categories.

Healthways Indigenous Scholarship
For Indigenous instrumental musicians who are members or prospective members of WA Youth Music

North of Perth Music Festival
Annual event held in September awarding A$10,000 worth of prizes including scholarships and awards for singers and instrumentalists.

Pratt Prize for Musical Theatre
Australia's richest music theatre prize, valued at A$80,000.

Ralph Thompson Memorial Scholarship
The Lieder Society of Western Australia presents this scholarship annually to a young singer who must be a member of the Society. Applicants must present a short recital and prepare a study program.

Royal Over-Seas League Award for Young Singers
Western Australian award for singers from 15-21 and presented by the Royal Schools Music Club

Royal Schools Anniversary Scholarship
Awards A$5,000 biennially to an applicant to undertake a music-related project.

This competition raises money for Cystic Fibrosis Western Australia and encourages young performers to compete in all areas of performing arts. There are solo vocal and choral categories.

Storm the Stage
Annual competition for 16-19 year olds to perform in music theatre and dramatic presentations.

Symphony Australia Young Performers Awards
Open to classical instrumentalists under 30 years of age with heats in each state before a national Grand Final.

University of Western Australia School of Music Scholarship
Reimburses a UWA student their WA Youth Music fees based on musical achievement, contribution to WA Youth Music and financial need.

WA Music Teachers Association Recital and Concerto Competition
This annual competition is open to all singers and instrumentalists. Recitals are grouped by grade (eg AMEB grade) and concertos are judged by age.

WA Performing Arts Eisteddfod
Held annually at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre. Includes categories for singers and instrumentalists.

Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts Scholarship
Reimburses a WAAPA student their WA Youth Music fees based on musical achievement, contribution to WA Youth Music and financial need.

West Australian Pianists Competition
Began in 2001 to encourage piano students to perform a programme of contrasting pieces in a concert situation.

Woodside Concerto Competition
Enables the winner to perform a concerto with the Western Australian Youth Orchestra.

Woodside Mini Bass Scholarship
Awards subsidised double bass lessons and the use of a WA Youth Music mini bass until a larger instrument is needed.

Woodside Oboe Scholarship
Awards recipients subsidised oboe lessons and the use of a WA Youth Music oboe.

Woodside Viola Scholarship
Awards subsidised viola lessons and the use of a WA Youth Music viola.
