The State Library of Western Australia is located in the Perth Cultural Centre and is easily accessible by public transport.
There are entries to the State Library at 25 Francis Street or from the Perth Cultural Centre.
The Library is a short walk north of the Perth Railway Station and the Perth Bus Station. The blue Central Area Transit (CAT) buses travel close to the building with stops in Beaufort, Aberdeen and William Streets.
Undercover parking is available in the City of Perth carpark located underneath the State Library building. Entrance to the carpark is on Francis Street. You can find information about opening hours, parking fees and alternative parking in Northbridge and the CBD at cityofperthparking.com.au.
Access for People with Disabilities
There is wheelchair access to the State Library from Perth Cultural Centre or Francis Street entrance, lifts to all floors and a wheelchair accessible toilet on each floor. Facilities are provided for people with vision impairment or hearing difficulties. More information is available on the full range of services we offer.
The State Library of Western Australia's, Van Dock Area is located on Francis Street.
There are three 30 minute parking bays available for contractors doing work within the State Library. Any contractor requiring parking must report to the Van Dock staff for authorisation.
Items can be delivered between the hours of 07:30 and 15:30 Monday to Friday. Deliveries outside these times will not be accepted. All goods must be clearly marked with a receivers name. Delivery on pallets must not exceed 1.5 metres high and must be stacked inside the pallet's edge. Any damaged goods will not be accepted. All hazards items must have all relevant MSDS sheets and Van Dock Staff must be contacted prior to the delivery of these items with a date and time of delivery.
